Camera and doorbell installation in Maidstone centre, Tovil and the west.

We cover the whole of central and west Maidstone: the town centre around Week Street and Fairmeadow, Tovil, Allington, Barming and out to Teston. That is a mix of Victorian terraces, converted flats and modern estates, and each needs a slightly different approach to cabling, Wi-Fi and doorbell angles.

The town centre and the Medway riverside

The centre of Maidstone sits on the River Medway. The Archbishop's Palace and All Saints Church stand by the water at Mill Street, Maidstone Museum stands beside Brenchley Gardens, and Week Street and Fairmeadow carry most of the shopping. Around them are flats above shops, converted offices and Victorian streets.

Communal entrances and shared yards are the issue here. A doorbell on a flat's own door is simple, but any camera covering a shared stairwell or passage needs thought about who is recorded and why. We keep views to your own door and your own frontage, and talk through signage where that cannot be avoided. Low-lying riverside sites also deserve equipment mounted well clear of the ground.

Tovil and the Tonbridge Road

Tovil grew around the paper mills on the Loose stream and the Medway, and has tight Victorian terraces with small rear yards. The streets running off the Tonbridge Road have the same pattern: front doors on the pavement and back alleys behind.

A video doorbell with a trimmed motion zone and a rear-yard camera on a short run covers most of these houses. Cables go through the existing brickwork where possible, with no surface trunking along the front.

Allington, Barming and Teston

West of the centre, Allington's newer estates run up toward the Medway and Allington Castle, and Barming sits on the Medway Valley Line with a mix of older houses and cul-de-sacs. Teston, further out, has the bridge and country park on the river.

Estate gardens here tend to be long and narrow, with a shed or garage at the end. Wi-Fi reach and a solar or mesh-supported camera are the usual answers. Hermitage Lane and the hospital area add shift workers, who like a doorbell that keeps a clear log of what happened while they slept.

Common questions

Do you work in flats?

Yes. We fit doorbells and sensors to your own front door and keep any camera view to your own space. Shared areas need permission from the freeholder or management company.

Is Teston covered?

Yes, as part of the west round, though it sits just outside the core ME14 to ME17 patch. Travel is factored into the quote only if it adds real time.
