Video doorbells, angled for your porch and nothing else.
We fit battery and wired video doorbells in Maidstone and the surrounding villages, then set the motion zone, chime and audio so you are alerted to visitors rather than every passer-by. A wired unit uses your existing bell supply, or we run a new one ourselves as qualified electricians.
What is included
- Old bell or chime removed and the new unit mounted level and secure
- Battery or wired connection, using an existing suitable supply
- Motion zone trimmed so the pavement and neighbouring doors are left out
- Audio explained and switched off unless you want it on
- App, indoor chime and household sharing set up
- Existing chime wiring tested and reused where it is suitable
Pricing
Fixed price confirmed after a £49 survey, credited against the job, or from clear photos for straightforward work. Bands reflect access, property type and how much set-up is involved.

Doorbells on Victorian terraces and stone-built cottages
Many Maidstone terraces open straight onto the pavement, which means a default wide-angle doorbell watches every pedestrian. We narrow the zone and angle the unit down toward the step so notifications stay useful. Mounting into old brick and ragstone needs the right masonry fixings and a sealed cable entry, and that is routine for us.
In the villages, a lot of front doors sit down a path from the lane. There the problem reverses: you want the doorbell to see the gate as well as the door, so we check the view from the path and fit a chime where you will hear it.
One contractor, start to finish
We are qualified electricians as well as installers. If a doorbell, floodlight or camera needs a new supply instead of an existing one, we run it ourselves in the same visit, with no second contractor.

Questions
Can you fit a video doorbell where there is no existing bell?
Yes. A battery model needs no wiring. If you want a wired unit and there is no supply, we can run a low-voltage feed ourselves in the same visit.
Does a video doorbell record audio?
Most can. We explain the setting and switch it off by default, because audio is treated as more intrusive than video under UK data protection guidance.
